Rocketbook Wave – A microwaveable notebook that sends notes to the cloud!

Gone are the days when you had to take down hundreds of notes on a notepad. With the rise of mobile computing has come the perk of using them as your digital notepad. Still, there are a lot of things that require an actual use of pen and paper. It can range from explaining an idea to taking down quick notes at a client meeting. Irrespective of how good the gadgets have become the need of pen and paper still exists. What can be better than having to store and save your notepads and remember which one contains the pointers of which meeting? Anything really but rocketbook wave does one better.

Rocketbook wave is a notebook that is microwave safe and deletes all the content written on the pages after you have saved them all in a cloud service you desire!

Confused? Here is the product video that Rocketbook wave team has put up on kickstarter:

What can be better than having a notebook that can be reused up to 10 times and after automating saves the data exactly where you want it to!

Rocketbook team did a crowdfunding campaign earlier as well where they serviced 20,000 such notepads. As of now the cloud services offered include Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote and OneNote. The rocketbook wave also provides the option of sending the contents of the page to your email address.

Rocketbook wave apps for both iOS and Android is expected to support Box, Slack and iCloud in the near future. The way these three will be integrated with the app is something left to be seen for what we see are 7 symbols on the notebook and the services after these 3 are launched would be 8. It can be expected that the next iteration of rocketbook wave will support these 3 services.

The rocketbook wave is being offered in two different sizes as of now :

  • Standard Size – 8.5 in x 9.5 in
  • Executive Size – 5.8 in x 8.3 in

College going students would like the standard size better while executive size will suit, well, the executives!

Rocketbook Wave will have 80 pages which as stated already are reusable up to 10 times as the company claims on their kickstarter campaign.

The kickstarter campaign of Rocketbook Wave has already achieved and gone past it’s original goal of $20,000 having received close to $75,000 at the time this is being written. If you are looking to buy a rocketbook wave, it will set you back $27 for one rocketbook which comes along with a frixIon Pen that makes it reusable. There are a number of other pledge options available if you are looking to buy it in a bulk.

To us, Rocketbook wave appears to be a very nifty idea. For someone who loves to use a single notebook for several different purposes can utilize the cloud automation to send the pages to the desired location. Also, the re-usability factor of rocketbook wave is something that makes it all the more convenient and desirable.
